Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Kibale forest national park

Your guide will pick you up in Kampala and travel to Kibale forest national park reaching your lodge in the afternoon and check for lunch. In the evening visit Bigodi wetland sanctuary, home to over 250 bird species including shoebill stork and papyrus gonelock and 8 primates. You will take a nature walk through the swamp with your guide helping you to spot wildlife and learn about medicinal herbs. After the walk, you will visit the Kibale Association for Rural Development where you can meet locals, enjoy cold drinks and a traditional cultural dance. Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp walk

Wake up early for breakfast and head to Kanyanchu visitor where you gather with other visitors for pre chimpanzee tracking briefing. Guides will take you through Kibale forest search for chimpanzee and spend 1 hour after they are located. You may also spot other primates and several birds as you return back for lunch. in the evening you will take a drive to the crater lakes, one of the beautiful landscapes. Local guides will accompany you to explore crater lakes like Nyinambuga which appears on 20,000 Uganda shillings note. Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala

After breakfast, transfer back to Kampala passing through Mpanga Tea estates. You reach mubende town, branch off and visit Nakayima tree one of the 500 year old tree shrines of the last Chwezi kingdom ruler called Ndahura. Proceed to kampala reaching in the evening and transfer to the airport or at your place of interest
